REM Churches planned and took their very first “official” and international mission trip in August 2026.

The mission team was led by Chris and Lauryn Carver, and they went to support His Family Church in Clydebank, Scotland while working alongside REM Pastor Bob Hill and his local team there.

Some of the projects included refinishing the front fence along the church, deep cleaning the inside of the sanctuary and common areas of the church, organizing the main storage areas of the church, as well as some maintenance and light painting at Overtoun House where the team lodged while in-country.

Overtoun House is home to Bob and Melissa Hill, who are both missionaries for Globe International, overseers of the Overtoun estate, and leaders of His Family Church. We have a great relationship with the Hills, and we encourage REM Churches to plan trips to go see them and stay with them in Dumbarton, Scotland.

REM Churches has plans to lead another mission trip to Scotland in May 2027. More information about that upcoming trip can be found here: https://remchurches.com/scotland/
