REM hosted Grant Writing for Churches on March 9, 2026. REM Pastor Chris Alsup and his wife Cathy, flew in from Kailua, HI and came to Granbury specifically to provide grant writing training for REM Churches.

Chris is the pastor of Grace Church Kailua.

Chris and Cathy offer fundraising and grant writing for faith-based nonprofits.

• Donor development and build a healthy annual giving pipeline.
• Compose a comprehensive Case for Support
• Train leaders to use the Case for Support as a presentation tool.
• Guidance in fundraising for presidents/pastors (leading vision, empowering others).
• Develop a prioritized prospect list of top 100 major donors using a Board Contacts spreadsheet.
• Create an integrated donor list and conduct prospect research.
• Perform generosity screening for top 500 potential major donors.
• Create an annual development plan that guides cultivation and communication activities.
• Develop a cultivation strategy for each donor and cultivate major donors.
• Broaden your network and strengthen church/community support.
